Offering unique and high-quality training opportunities for the therapists of tomorrow is a core value at Ardent Grove. By training cohorts of trauma-informed therapists, we are contributing to a more adept and compassionate future generation of mental health care providers! We offer one of the only practicum opportunities for emerging therapists to receive advanced training and hands-on experience implementing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Over the past three years, the organization has provided a year-long practicum placement for 18 pre-doctoral students from the University of Denver and 1 post-doctoral clinician. We look forward to onboarding our 2023 cohort this fall, which is comprised of seven new clinical trainees and two postdocs. In addition to EMDR training, the practicum includes a curriculum of didactics, intensive supervision, and individual and group support. Meet our Current and Former Clinical Trainees!
Ardent Grove believes in the power of community to address the ongoing need for mental health services and awareness. We are proud to be able to do our part in assisting the greater community through education and partnership! We offer trainings, workshops and presentations for organizations large or small, who are looking to enhance mental health services and support. We have been invited to speak at schools, parent groups, faith communities, community centers, library systems, mental health conferences, perinatal mental health support networks, etc! Since 2021, we have participated and led over 20 community programs. Learn more about our Community Education program here & our Partnerships and Sponsors here!
