In 2024 we proudly served 380 clients, 215 (56%) of whom used Medicaid to access our services. We provided 5,250 clinical sessions including therapy and assessment. Our average hourly private-pay rate for these services was $38 among our training staff and $65 for our licensed clinical staff, with 38% of all private-pay session rates at $25 or under. 94% of our private-pay clients utilized scholarship rates for our services.
We also welcomed Shaye Sakos, PsyD, as our new Clinic Director, and Sebastian Harvey, PsyD, as our new Assessment Director!
New areas of service in 2024 included Men's Mental Health and Rehabilitation, Health, and Pain Psychology. To continue our mission of making mental health care accessible to all, we proudly began accepting an additional region of Medicaid, Rocky Mountain Health Plan, as well as our first private insurer, Optum/United Healthcare. Learn more about our commitment to accessibility here!
2024 brought another cycle of incredible clinical trainee graduates as well as six new training clinicians and two postdocs (meet them here!).
To date, we have trained 33 Doctoral Students and 5 Postdoctoral Clinicians. We have funded 42 EMDR trainings for our Clinicians and conducted over 170 didactic sessions with our trainees! Ardent Grove remains one of the only training opportunities to learn and utilize EMDR.
This year we also rolled out specialty trainings in the areas of Infant and Early Childhood Care, Eating Disorder Care through our partnership with the Eating Disorder Foundation, and advanced-EMDR consultation.
Since 2021, Ardent Grove has led over 25 trainings, support sessions and workshops across Colorado! Partners have included:
Colorado Housing and Finance Authority, For Love and Babes - Mom Support Groups, Community Table, Connecting Mamas New Mom Group, Broomfield Public Library System, Push Revolution Podcast, The Nursing Nook, Westerly Creek Elementary School, DU Morgridge College of Education, & Safe Spaces Summit. Learn more about our Community Education Program here!
We were also thrilled to participate in community events including Denver PRIDE and the Underground Music Showcase, as well as host our second annual fundraiser at Nocturne Jazz and Supper Club!
We completed our first year as a Caring for Denver Grant recipient and as such were able to increase our capacity to serve Denver residents with both therapy and assessment services!
We are honored to have become a Colorado Trust Grant recipient in 2024 in partnership with The Eating Disorder Foundation. This relationship has allowed us to provide the rare opportunity for eating disorder specific training and accessible care to the community. Learn more about our partnership here!
We were also deeply grateful to have earned $50,000 in grant funding from The Wana Brands Foundation, which we have been busy putting to use to provide therapy and assessment scholarship rates for our clients and to kick start the development of our Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy Program! We proudly graduated our 2022-2023 training cohort, including our first postdoc, and welcomed our current 2023-2024 training cohort of five clinical students!
We were honored to become a Caring for Denver Grant recipient, which will allow us to grow our staff and increase therapy and assessment services across the community!
We also hosted our annual fundraiser at Nocturne where we, with your generosity, raised over $50,000 to help make mental health care more accessible to those who need it most!
In 2022, we served 140 clients over 1700 therapy visits. 11% of our client population was 18 and under, 41% was between 18 and 35, and 43% was between 36 and 55. 70% of therapy services were offered at a scholarship rate, with the average cost of session being $28.
We brought on seven new clinical trainees including our first postdoctoral clinician. Each of these providers has been EMDR trained while with us. We strive to embody a strong commitment to one another, to Ardent Grove, and of course, to our work. Ardent Grove offers one of the only opportunities to learn and implement EMDR in a training setting.
Ardent Grove participated and led eight community programs across the business, hospitality, financial, and perinatal care communities and sectors. Topics included stress management, trauma, postpartum grief and loss, and perinatal mental health.
We are so proud to now be accepting Medicaid as this helps to support our mission of offering accessible mental health care to all! We continue to provide low-cost, self-pay services on a sliding scale to serve those without Medicaid.
Share our contact information with those who might benefit from our services.
We also provide free mental health education to businesses, schools, and other organizations looking to understand more about becoming trauma aware, reducing burnout, and facing many mental health issues in our society today. We can tailor topics to suit your needs.
